Polson is decked out in beautiful holiday décor and ready for another funfilled December. Here at the library we are gearing up for several fun events.

Thinking about purchasing technology for yourself or a family member this year? On Tuesday, Dec. 13 our tech specialist, Heather, will present a class about purchasing tech items. She will guide participants down the windy road of tech specs, purpose, and usefulness. Our quarterly adult coloring programs have been very popular, and we expect the Christmas program on Dec. 21 to be the same. Our theme will center on the popular Christmas story, “A Cup of Christmas Tea,” with tea fare provided.

Also on Dec. 21 will be the first day of our Winter Reading Program for adults and teens. This fun reading program will run from the first day of winter until the last day of winter, March 19. Stop into the library on or after Dec. 21 to pick up your bingo-inspired reading log.

Christmas is a special time of year to remember and honor loved ones and friends. Did you know that the library accepts memorial donations? You can make a donation in memory of an individual with recommendations for purchases in a certain genre. We always do our best to select materials that are a reflection of those being honored, and place a name plaque in the item with wording of your choice. There are thousands of books in our library that were purchased in memory of or in honor of someone special. It is quite wonderful to open a book and unexpectedly see the name of a loved one or friend.

May you have a joyful, relaxing, and magical holiday season. Pick up a good book, read to a child, watch a movie that brings a tear to your eye. Take a stroll down the city sidewalks, busy sidewalks dressed in holiday style, and have yourself a merry little Christmas.
