Anita Rae Hahn Seibert

RONAN — Anita Rae Hahn Seibert died at the family home in Ronan on Dec. 21, 2016. Anita was born on Jan. 9, 1939, in Ronan to Ralph and Elizabeth Hahn.

Anita’s parents, her husband of 44 years, Homer, both of her sons, Tom and Henry, her brother, Jay Hahn, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins precede her in death.

She is survived by her daughters and stepson: Bette Hawkins of Ronan, Mary Murray (Alan) of Elliston, Gregg Brown (Marabeth) of Great Falls; her brothers and sisters: Marion Hahn (Mickie) of Roy, Washington, Louis Hahn of Marion, Doug Hahn of Ronan, Nyla Buck of Polson, and Dora Mannen of Quartzsite, Arizona; grandkids and step-grandsons: Jacob Seibert of Ronan, Jason Brown (Kristen) of Polson, Jimi Brown of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chantel Mejias ( Jose’) of Ronan, Keith Murray (Kenja) of Helena, Mike Murray ( Jorie) of Fort Hood, Texas, and Chris (Kayla) Murray of Helena; 11 great-grandchildren: Ghanama and Geneva desLions of Polson, Oliver and Liam Mejias of Ronan, Sierra Brown of Colorado Springs, Liam Broadwater of Helena, Annabelle Seibert of Elliston, Thomas and Bethanie Murray of Fort Hood, Hunter and Addi Murray of Helena. Several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive Anita.

Anita grew up in Townsend and Ronan. She attended Ronan High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1956. Anita married Homer Seibert on July 31, 1955, in the Round Butte Church. On May 9, 1956, the couple announced the birth of their first-born child, Elizabeth Leona Seibert. This was just the beginning of their family. Their family continued to grow over the years with the birth of Thomas A. Seibert, Henry Homer Seibert, and Mary Frances Seibert. They raised their family in Round Butte at the family ranch. In 1981 the family would find out that a beautiful baby boy of 30 years old would be united with the family. Gregg Brown, Homer’s son, was united with his father and family.

For many years, Anita was very active in her Thursday night bowling league and enjoyed bowling with her family. She was also a very active member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Order of Rainbow for Girls. She drove a school bus for the Ronan School District for 20 years and enjoyed the time with the kids. She loved driving school bus and the activity runs for the different sports. She also enjoyed playing pinochle with the senior citizens in the valley.

There will be a celebration of life on Jan. 14, 2017, at the Ronan Community Center at 2 p.m. with a dinner to follow.
