Ralph Edward Bick
RONAN — Ralph E. Bick passed away Nov. 30, 2011, in Williams Lake, B.C. He was born April 14, 1923, at home near Broadview, Mont., the second child of Clarence and Evelyn Bick. His childhood was spent on farms in the Broadview and later Creston areas and finally the family moved to the Mission Valley in 1934.
Ralph married Arla Anderson of Pablo in 1945 and the couple farmed west of Pablo where their 5 children were born. In 1967 they moved to BIX Ranch east of 70 Mile House, BC and enjoyed the next 27 years ranching, which was their life’s dream.
They retired in 1994 and spent time at Rock Creek, Midway, Grand Forks and finally Williams Lake.
Arla passed away in 2009 at Seniors’ Village, in Williams Lake, where Ralph also resided.
Ralph is survived by three daughters, Patsy Cuthbertson; Kathy Martell; and Lorraine (Pat) Jasper; and two sons, Clifford (Colleen); and Jon (Sunny); 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Bill of St. Ignatius; Ray of Eli, Nev.; and Herb of Ronan; and one sister, Clara Miller of Ronan. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Services will be held Dec. 17, 2011 at Desert Gardens, 540 Seymour St., Kamloops, B.C.
