POLSON — If pride comes before a fall, humility should come by winter. I can’t wait to sees what spring brings. But I’ve got a feeling we should “best be-knowing” where our hip waders are.
A few people have been in asking about Pinochle. The group that played every Thursday seems to have disbanded. Anyone interested in starting a new group should let us know and we’ll get everybody back together.
The veterans’ representative will be here on Friday, March 3, from 10 a.m.-noon. Toenail trimming day is Wednesday, March 8.
At last Tuesday’s senior bowling, Walter Reznicek charged to the front with his 250 high game. He also captured the high series and high handicap series. Alice Johnson’s 231 was high for women. She also showed strong in handicap series with her 693 but Vivian Ross’ 688 was impressive also. Cris Alter’s 612 series was high.
The lunch menu for the coming week:
— Thursday, Feb. 23: Polish chilidog
— Friday, Feb. 24: baked ham, baked potato
— Monday, Feb. 27: burger macaroni soup, rhubarb muffins
— Tuesday, Feb. 28: barbecue sandwich, tater tots
— Wednesday, March 1: spaghetti, garlic bread
All meals include vegetables and a dessert. Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
