POLSON — Some superheroes converged on Linderman Elementary School last week. The first-ever Super Family Literacy Night involved students dressing up as their favorite fictional character on Thursday, Feb. 16.
Among the evening’s events were bingo for books, a book exchange, free book giveaway, “reading graffiti” that involved students writing the name of their favorite book on a wall and making masks with a superhero theme.
Third-grade teacher Brittany Simonich said the idea for the event came from the school’s Family Partnership Committee, which also came up with the idea for Heritage Night in December.
