Isaac Daniel Ouellette

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA — Isaac Daniel Ouellette, aged 12, went to his heavenly home on Feb. 19, 2017. While taking a bath, one of his favorite things to do, Isaac unexpectedly drowned despite attempts of his father Jean Paul and grandfather Gerry to revive him.

Upon Isaac’s passing, two children received the gift of healthy kidneys.

Isaac spent his entire life surrounded by family and lifelong friends in his South Anchorage neighborhood. He attended Amazing Grace Preschool, Winterberry Charter School, Oceanview Elementary and Huffman Elementary where he made many great friends along the way.

Isaac was the sunshine and the storm … always a fighter. He was born with a seizure disorder and autism, yet in the face of these adversities, he insisted on enjoying life to the fullest. His love of laughter, rubber snakes, other children, and conversations with strangers gained him a long list of friends and unforgettable experiences. Isaac had a way of making his presence known wherever he went and his earthly absence will be greatly missed.

Isaac’s father, Jean Paul Ouellette; mother, Naomi Lamson Ouellette; and his siblings Anna, Timmy and Emma survive him. His paternal grandparents, Gerry and Mary Ouellette of Polson; his maternal grandparents, John and Lori Lamson; and uncles Chris Lamson, Aaron and Gabe Ouellette also survive him.

A service was held Feb. 24 at Anchorage City Church and he was laid to rest at Angeles Memorial Park just over the fence from his home where he spent his days playing with his friends and capturing every moment.
