POLSON – The Pirates rolled out the wrestling welcome mats on Saturday for area competitors in the beginner and novice age groups of the Little Guy Wrestling program.
The meet gave young grapplers an opportunity to hone skills they have learned during practice by experiencing tournament-style wrestling.
Little Guy Wrestling is a six-week program that introduces girls and boys from young ages to solid wresting techniques and prepares them for high school level grappling which may lead to college scholarship opportunities.
The next Little Guy Wrestling event will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Arlee High School.
