Larry Stokes
PABLO – Larry Roy “Stoker” Stokes, 76, passed away at his home near Ronan on March 8, 2017.
Born in Tremont, Utah, on April 26, 1940, to Nellie Jean Brown Stokes and Roy Joseph Stokes, he was raised and educated in the Mission Valley. He married Beverly Ann Ingraham and Cheryl McCoy.
When he wasn’t hunting or fishing, which he loved to do, he was a mechanic and logger working in Seeley Lake, Montana, and Forks and Beaver, Washington, and later in the Mission Meadows Trailer Court.
His parents; his wives; a grandson; and his daughter, Shiela Kay, precede him in death.
Survivors include his children, Donald Roy, David Ray (Klista), Stacey Cory; siblings, Jolene “Jodi” McNeeley, Ruth (Jerry) Maiers, Faye Langley, Lloyd (Pearl) Stokes, Leathy (Carl Hanson), Sadie Jean Young, Joseph (Wanda) Stokes, Roxie (Charlie) Cordis, Richard “Dick” Stokes, Jerry Ray Stokes, and James Leo (Frances) Stokes; numerous grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews; and a good neighbor.
At his request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a children’s charity of your choice.
