I am really grateful for all the volunteer help I have. Harvey Kenitzer, Jane Holland and Bob Chadda deliver half of the home-delivered meals on their days. Dick Blumberg does the out-of-town deliveries several days a week using his own vehicle. That certainly helps lighten my load. I am especially thankful for Harvey, who will step in on ten minutes notice to help me out of a jam with my passengers. It just goes to prove … volunteers don’t necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.
Frani Basta made a clean sweep of all the women’s honors at senior bowling on March 21 with her 238 game, 552 series and 741 handicap series. Don Young had a 229 high game. Tim Basta had a 668 series and a 752 handicap series.
The lunch menu for the coming week:
— Thursday, March 30: enchiladas, salsa and sour cream
— Friday, March 31: barbecue ribs, baked potatoes
— Monday, April 3: beef barley soup, rolls
— Tuesday, April 4: spaghetti, garlic bread
— Wednesday, April 5: turkey potpie, biscuits
All meals include vegetables and a dessert.
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
