DIXON — “Springtime in the Rockies” ... at last. The signs are all over, and we spring watchers are delighted. Some of my favorite signs include: pussy willows – (out in February) are in full fur; daffodils, tulips, peonies and other bulbs, which are coming up. Crocuses and primroses are blooming and perennial sweet peas, daisies and day lilies are ever-faithful harbingers of what’s coming. I saw one robin, and the blackbirds, doves, and other birds are in spring mode. We are fortunate to live where we can have seasonal changes and something to look forward to.

We were pleased to share lunch again with 15 honor roll students from Dixon School. Principal Crista Anderson, and fourth-grade teacher Samijo Firestone, accompanied them. The eager eaters appreciated the Indian tacos served for lunch.

The Dixon Community Church meets each Sunday morning at 10 a.m. at the Dixon Senior Center. Come join us in the first Sunday potluck this week on April 2.

The last meal for this month will be sweet potato stew, with salad, fruit, homemade rolls and dessert and still only $4.

All ages are welcome. Polson
