I know, I know, I’ve done this before.
I just read my eloquent exit column from 2008, when I was certain that I was retiring. Six months later, I was back. Nine years later, I am retiring — again.
Well, maybe not.
I’m actually setting aside a 30-year journalism career and moving into the health and fitness world. Still working, not retiring.
Our publisher, Summer Goddard, will pick up as editor and appreciates your patience during this transition. Though she juggles a large amount of newspaper responsibility while raising a young family, Summer is up to the task.
The Valley Journal will continue to thrive and grow and be your paper of choice for truthful, comprehensive and sensitive coverage and your best vehicle for growing your business.
Thank you for your support since Sept. 22, 2004, when we published our first issue of your homegrown newspaper. It’s been an educational and inspirational ride.
