A postcard provided by Jan Curtis of Bountiful, Utah, depicts the devastating Ronan fire of 1912 that started in the automobile garage of Crawford & Clairmont during a fierce windstorm and quickly spread flames west of Spring Creek, destroying all but four of the town’s buildings. The same year, businesses rebuilt, the Ronan Volunteer Fire Department was established and the city government was organized. Curtis found the postcard as she was going through her unnamed uncle’s possessions.
