POLSON — North Lake County Public Library in Polson is celebrating National Library Week with its traditional Food for Fines April 9-15. Patrons with overdue fines on their library cards are encouraged to bring one item of canned or packaged food to the circulation desk for each dollar owed. Fines will be waived. Forgiveness of fines does not include lost or damaged items.

All food contributions will be donated to the Polson Loaves and Fish Food Pantry. National Library Week highlights the fact that the role of libraries in our communities is growing rapidly. Although traditionally known for their collections of books, today’s library services also include free public computer use and internet, cultural programs, tutorials in digital learning, children’s programming, activities for teens, meeting spaces, and a vast array of digital and traditional resources.

North Lake County Public Library is located at 2 First Ave. E. in Polson. Please call 406-883- 8225 or go to www.northlakecountylibrary.org for more information.
