Summer reading program starts June 12 POLSON – Can you believe our 70 and 80 degree days? It seems like we went from winter straight to summer (with a little spring thrown in too). Well, these summer temperatures have got us thinking about our Family Summer Reading Program that begins June 12 at 10 a.m. Kendra has some really great programs and giveaways this year and once again … you may (ok, according to Heather, you will) get wet. Stop in or check our Facebook page to see what this is all about. The Summer Reading Program is open to everyone – no age limits.

We are very excited to announce the addition of Flipster Digital Magazines to our totally free services. We have made a selection of seven popular magazines that include HGTV, Food Network, Allrecipes, Taste of Home, Cooking Light, McCall’s Quick Quilts and Crochet World. You can view these on your computer, tablet or phone using the app. The magazines are downloadable for offline viewing and you can print from them. You can even access back issues on most of the magazines. There is a link on our website’s homepage as well as our Facebook page. All you need is a free library card.

You know what else you can get with your free library card? Free music. Freegal is a really great service that allows five music downloads per week as well as streaming. They just added new albums by Pentatonix, Brad Paisley, Lea Michele, Willie Nelson, and John Mayer. The link is on our homepage next to the Flipster link. Check it out. Heather will be holding another Internet Security class on Tuesday, May 23 at 2 p.m. It is a very popular topic. On Wednesday, May 24 Angela will be hosting two adult coloring classes at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. She will have live music from the Mission Valley Choral Society during the 5:30 class.

We begin our summer hours on Thursday, June 1 which are Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visit our website at www. northlakecountylibrary.org, our Facebook page, and check the Calendar section for updates on the happenings at the Library.
