Port Polson Players open 4th decade of ‘Murder at Howard Johnson’s’The Port Polson Players open their 42nd season of summer theatre in Polson’s beautiful theatre on the lake with high comedy. Murder at the Howard Johnson’s plays July 5-16. Besides being an extremely funny play, the Players have the distinction of having produced the show nine times, sporting over 100 performances across Montana. The same actors, in the same costumes, with the same set and props have performed the show in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. Next time they come together to mount this “mid-life comedy,” they’ll all be in their 70s … unless, as they say, “one of them croaks.”

Variety magazine says “Ho-Jo’s has enough laugh lines, mirth-provoking situations and extravagant sight gags to outfit two rapid fire farces!” Curtain is 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays with 2 p.m. Sunday matinees. Tickets are $18 for adults and $17 for senior citizens. The show is recommended as a comedy farce for adults. Go to PortPolsonPlayers.com or call the Players at 883-9212 for more information and reservations.
