RONAN — Well, the summer heat is upon us so it is very important that you all drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
The Ronan Senior Center is a busy place. This Thursday night is our monthly evening meal and a pork dinner with all the trimmings is on the menu. There will be cards played at 7 p.m. on July 17 and on July 19 the monthly foot clinic will take place at 10 a.m.
We are still taking nominations for “Senior Of The Year” so, if you know of a senior in the community deserving of the honor, please stop by the center and sign them up on the nomination sheet.
Menu for the coming week:
— Wednesday, July 12: chili, cornbread, salad, fruit dessert
— Friday, July 14: enchiladas, salad fruit dessert
— Monday, July 17: liver and onions, potatoes, salad, fruit dessert — Wednesday, July 19: Polish dogs, chips, salad, fruit, dessert. This is the month we officially celebrate our freedom, but we should be thankful for our freedom everyday and more importantly, we need to always remember the men and women who gave their lives to provide us with that freedom.
