Free training offered about male sexual assault survivors
RONAN — The Title IX Office at Montana State University has partnered with the Office of Institutional Equity to host a training in Ronan next month on male survivors of sexual assault. The training is free and open to the public on Tuesday, Aug. 8, from 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. While one out of every ten men is a victim of sexual violence, survivors struggle to report to the police or access services through local advocacy programs. This training will help participates learn about barriers to seeking justice, breadth of occurrence, strategies for creating inclusive programs and services, effective interviewing and improving prosecution. CLE and POST credits are pending. For more information, go to: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/male-statewide-survivor-training-ronantickets-36234791236.
