ST. IGNATIUS — The only thing you have to fear is fear itself… and spiders.

Quilt raffle tickets are still on sale at Valley Bank for $1 each or six for $5. All proceeds go to the Flathead Reservation Boys and Girls Club of Lake County. The winner will be announced on Sept. 15.

There will be a free community dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 30,  at the St. Ignatius Senior Center. Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and everyone is welcome.

The Neighborhood Watch group will meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.  and the public is encouraged to attend.

The card party will be held on the second Monday evening of each month at 7 p.m.; everyone is welcome.

The quilters are in the center on Mondays from 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Bingo is played after almost every lunch. Meals are served every Tuesday and Friday at noon and on the first and third Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m.

Menu:                                                                               

—  Friday,  Aug. 25:  Hawaiian sliders  

—  Tuesday, Aug. 29:  fish at noon 

—  Wednesday, Aug. 30: our 5:30 p.m. evening meal with stuffed pasta, meat sauce 

—  Friday,  Sept. 1: chicken enchiladas                                                                

—  Tuesday,  Sept. 5: pizza bake 

The menu is subject to change.

We are still requesting bids on a 23-foot gabled roof to be installed on the south side of our building. This includes the cleanup of the old existing porch. The successful bidder must have an independent contractor’s certificate. Copies of the plans can be picked up at the center in the front entry way, or request a copy by mail  and call 406-745-4462. 

The food pantry is still looking for volunteers to work Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.  If you are interested, please call 406-745-0057.
