PABLO — The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes held a primary election for council candidates on Saturday. 

Two candidates from each of five districts will advance to the Dec. 16 general election. Results will be finalized on Wednesday, Oct. 25. 

Unofficial results are listed below. (Those receiving three votes or less are not shown.)

Arlee District: Shelly Fyant, 531; Jim Malatare, 339; Vance Home Gun, 212.

Elmo District: Len Two Teeth, 526; Louis Junior Caye, 318; Mary D. Antiste, 188; Michelle R. Trahan Usher, 158.

Polson District: Vernon S. Finley, 331; Charmel R. (Tellier) Gillin, 260; Steve Lozar, 249; Dan DePoe, 205; Dennis D. Villegas, 54.

Ronan District: Carole J. DePoe Lankford, 390; Teresa Wall-McDonald, 228; Julian C. “Chuck” Courville, 99; Leonard Michel, 89; Alyssa Kelly, 67; Bryan “Yellowstar” Dupuis, 66; Tracy Burland, 65; LeRoy Black Jr., 56; Caryn L. Kallay, 25. 

St. Ignatius: James Steele Jr., 434; C. Douglas Morigeau, 269; Patty Stevens, 257; Charles Allen Morigeau, 124. 

Candidates elected in the general election will serve four-year terms.
