RONAN — Mother Nature has definitely been letting us know that the change of season is fast approaching. Our early morning temps are starting to dip and November is upon us already and soon it will be the end to another year. It amazes me how fast time passes as we get older.
November will be a busy month. November 18 is the date for the bazaar at the senior center from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. There should be many homemade crafts to help fill your Christmas list. The center will be closed Nov. 24 to give our cooks time to spend with their families. Cards will be at the senior center Monday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. and on Wednesday, Nov. 15, there will be a foot clinic.
The menu for the week:
— Wednesday, Nov. 1: loaded baked potatoes, salads, rolls, dessert
— Friday, Nov. 3: barbecue beef sandwiches, salads, dessert
— Monday, Nov. 6: baked fish, herbed potatoes, vegetables, salads, dessert
— Wednesday, Nov. 8: Polish dogs, sauerkraut, salads, dessert
— Thursday, Nov. 9: monthly evening meal at 5:30 - roast pork, mashed potatoes, salads, rolls, dessert
Please remember our veterans on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Our veterans are what has made our country great. All gave some; some gave all and they deserve our undying gratitude.
