RONAN — Glen Sharbono, Commander of District No. 4 Department of Montana, and Vice-Commander/Adjutant for Ronan Post No. 138 graduated from the NALC as part of the Class of 2017 on Nov. 3. Fifty-five American Legion members representing 38 departments attended classes at the American Legion National Headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana from Oct. 28-Nov. 3 for the 18th consecutive session of National Legion College. Students learned how to: write a resolution, assess their leadership style and development, conduct a post-level meeting, and implement a department-level Legion College. They were also given leadership scenarios that involved a post-level conflict that they discussed and decided how to best resolve, conducted a mock department convention, discussed the leadership principle PEOPLE (professionalism, empathy, optimism, partnership, loyalty, empowerment). during the mock convention.
