Nominations of community-minded businesses sought

POLSON — The Polson Chamber of Commerce seeks to recognize businesses that have made a significant impact in the Polson community during the past year. These awards will be based upon contributions to the community, business performance, innovative practices, growth of programs and the organization, volunteer contributions to the community, civic involvement and leadership. The winners of each of the awards will be presented at the Chamber’s Annual Gala on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018. Nominations should be made based on criteria listed under each category. Winners will be selected by the Polson Chamber Board of Directors after review of each entry. Only complete nomination forms will be reviewed. All recognized businesses must be current members of the Chamber in good standing and must have not received the award for which they have been nominated within the past three years. Self-nominations are accepted. Nominations must be submitted by Dec. 15, 2017.

 

Rifle raffle to benefit Mission Valley Ice Arena

POLSON – The fundraising raffle to benefit the Mission Valley Ice Arena draws to a close on Friday, Nov. 17. Tickets are still on sale at Total Screen Design, the office of Turnage, Mercer and Wall and Polson and Ronan Theaters until 5 p.m. that day. Checks may be made to “MVIAA,” a registered non-profit organization. The $10 ticket price is tax-deductible. The lucky winner of the Remington 700 SPS 300 WSM with a Vortex Viper 4-12x40 scope, valued at $1,100 will be announced at that time. “This rifle raffle is just one of the fundraising efforts going toward the construction of an indoor ice arena that will host all ice sports,” said MVIAA Director Chuck Wall. The arena is to be located in the RIdgewater development near the soccer fields and the Mission Valley Aquatics Center. See www.missionvalleyicearena. com for more information about the rink.
