Man charged with sexual assault of 12-year-old boy

POLSON – A Bigfork-area man charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent exposure pleaded not guilty to the charges in district court last week.
Scott David Curry, 49, was charged last month for the incidents, which allegedly occurred with a 12-year-old boy between Oct. 1 and Oct. 15 in Lake and Flathead counties.
According to a court document, Curry exposed his genitals to the boy on three or four occasions.
When interviewed by law enforcement, Curry said he would regularly take the boy to a Bigfork gym, the document states.
On Oct. 4 and Oct. 9, Curry allegedly touched the boy’s genitals from outside his clothing and when he placed some fruit snacks in the boy’s pocket when he was using a leg press machine at the gym
A jury trial was scheduled for April 16 with an omnibus hearing set for Feb. 28.
Curry was given a $10,000 bond on Oct. 17 but is not currently in jail.
Curry, who is listed at an address in the 12600 block of Kelly Drive in the Bigfork area, is on the Montana Sexual and Violent Offender Registry, according to the Lake County Sheriff ’s Office.
