Mayor, City Manager to address Chamber
POLSON — On Wednesday, Dec. 6, members of the Polson Chamber of Commerce will receive an update concerning the state of the city from Polson Mayor Heather Knutson and City Manager Mark Shrives.
A native of Polson, Mayor Heather Knutson is serving her first term as mayor of the City of Polson. She is currently the General Manager of Country Foods. An Army veteran, Mark Shrives holds a master’s degree in public administration. He served as city administrator in Hamilton and in Creswell, Oregon, before moving to Polson.
The luncheon is scheduled for the KwaTaqNuk Resort from noon-1 p.m. Cost of the luncheon is $14.50. Reservations for the luncheon are not required. For additional information about the Chamber and its activities, call the Chamber office at 406-883-5969.

ST. IGNATIUS —It’s the time of year that our senior center tries to find new members or volunteers for the center. We work hard to keep the building in the condition required to serve meals to our seniors and send out the Meals on Wheels to those who can’t join us at the center. We have many activities as well as rent out the center for personal gatherings, etc. It is also the time of year to ask all you Amazon shoppers to donate to our center and you can do this without even knowing it. All it takes is to go to: www.smileamazon.com and register to shop – doesn’t cost you anything. Choose your nonprofit organization (St. Ignatius Senior Citizen Center) and every time you shop, Amazon donates .05 percent of your qualified purchases to our center. Every three months Amazon deposits directly into our center’s bank account. It’s that simple and I know a lot of people do their Christmas shopping on Amazon. Thanks so much from the center if you choose to do this. Every little bit helps us keep our community center going. Come visit, have lunch and play bingo; it’s a lot of fun, especially on these cold, rainy days. Hope to see you there.
