RONAN — Well here we are in December already. Soon we will be in a New Year. I hope everyone has a great one.
There are a few activities going on here at the Ronan Senior Center:
Cards will be played Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.
— The Foot Clinic will take place on Dec. 20.
— The center will be closed Christmas Day.
— Our monthly birthday dinner will be on Dec. 29.
— Our monthly evening meal will be on Thursday, Dec. 14.
We will also have our raffle drawing on the evening of Dec. 14. It is still possible to purchase raffle tickets. We have some great prizes: Half of a 4-H hog cured and wrapped; a very lovely quilt; an American flag afghan; gift certificates; and several other prizes. To get your tickets, stop by the center, or stop by our table at Harvest Foods on Saturday or see any board member. Thank you and good luck to all who have bought tickets.
The menu for the coming week is:
— Wednesday, Dec. 6: loaded baked potato bar with all the sides, salad, dessert
— Friday, Dec. 8: chicken Penne, bread, salad, dessert
— Monday, Dec. 11: brunch
— Wednesday, Dec. 13: tater-tot casserole, sides, salad, dessert
We have a couple of great cooks and we welcome everyone to come and have lunch with us. Lunch is served at noon and we have a wonderful, friendly atmosphere.
The Christmas season is upon us and I hope everyone will take a few moments to reflect on the true reason for the season. Have a great week everyone.
