News from Mission Valley Ice Arena

Luckily, Dave Burland decided to double his chances on winning the Remington 700 SPS 300 WSM with a Vortex Viper 4-12x40 scope, that Mission Valley Ice Arena Association raffled off as a fundraiser. “It was that second ten-dollar ticket that was the winner,” said Chuck Wall, MVIAA board member and organizer of the fundraiser.

Burland works in the IT department at Salish Kootenai College, and has already taken his new rifle out to sight it. “I’m really looking forward to bagging my first animal with it,” he said.

MVIAA wishes to thank all participating businesses for their help throughout the raffle and Polson Mayor-Elect Paul Briney for drawing the winning ticket. The MVIAA especially thanks everyone who purchased tickets.

The rifle raffle was just one of the fundraising efforts going toward the construction of an indoor ice arena that will host all ice sports.

See www.missionvalleyicearena.com for more information about the rink.
