ARLEE — The annual general meeting of the Arlee Senior Citizens Center will be held on Jan. 13, at 6 p.m., during the regular second Saturday evening dinner. All interested in the Arlee Senior Center’s future are encouraged to attend this meeting. We need your input as to the future direction of the center. Great door prizes can be won, and a roast pork dinner will be served. Please plan to attend.

Due to a power failure at the Arlee Senior Center on Nov. 6, a makeup meal of lasagna will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11, at noon. This is required by our contract with Area VI Agency on Aging and we would appreciate your attendance and support on that day. Thank you in advance.

Effective immediately, when you sign in for a lunch or dinner, you may sign up for a drawing for $50 in cash, the drawing will be held on the last meal day of each month.

On Monday, Jan. 15, there will be a meeting of the Board of Directors at 10:30 a.m. to elect new officers for the upcoming year.

Our faithful foot-care nurse will be at the Arlee Center on Monday, Jan. 15, at 10:30 a.m. Sign up by Friday, Jan. 12, at noon, if you are planning to see her.

Commodities will be received on Jan. 16 at the Arlee Senior Center. Clients will be notified when commodities are available for distribution.

Schedule of menus: 

—  Thursday, Jan 11: makeup meal - lasagna, green salad, garlic toast, fruit, dessert

—  Friday, Jan. 12: tomato soup, ham/cheese sandwich, veggie tray, fruit

—  Saturday, Jan. 13: annual meeting - roast pork, potatoes, gravy, broccoli salad, pineapple upside-down cake

Meals are served at the Arlee Senior Center each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon, and the second and fourth Saturday evenings of each month at 6 p.m. Meals are $4 for those 60 years and over and $5 for those under 60 years.
