ARLEE — Our Valentine’s Day celebration, a prime rib dinner, will be on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m. There will also be a bake sale from 3-7 p.m. that same afternoon. Bring your sweetheart, a friend, or just yourself, to enjoy the evening. Bingo will be played following the meal.
Drew Hendrickson was the lucky winner of the first drawing for the $50 “Thanks for Coming” award. In a spontaneous drawing, Ted Schall won a box of chocolate-covered pretzels from Barnes and Noble … yum. It’s simple to sign up for the drawing. Each time you come to a noon lunch, or a second or fourth Saturday 6 p.m. dinner at the Arlee Senior Center, sign your name on a blue ticket and drop it in the “Thanks for Coming” bucket. During the last noon meal of each month someone’s name will be drawn, and the winner will receive $50 in cash. You don’t have to be present for the drawing, but the more times you come to lunch, or dinner, the more chances you have to win.
The Arlee Center is hosting the Lake County Council on Aging’s monthly meeting at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8. Lunch will be served at noon. Everyone is welcome to attend both the meeting and the lunch. It is also a make-up meal for the snow day missed meal in December.
Just an early reminder - the foot care lady will be at the Arlee Center on Monday, Feb. 19, at 10:30 a.m.
Hot nutritious meals are served at noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays each week, and dinners are served at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month for $4 for those 60 and up, and $5 for those under 60.
