News from the Lake County Planning Board
POLSON — Thank you to everyone who reviewed the second draft rewrite of the Lake County Growth Policy and have otherwise participated to date. The second draft was reviewed by the Lake County Planning Board and Polson City-County Planning Board at public hearings in January. At this time, the growth policy rewrite is scheduled for an additional work session with the Lake County Planning Board in February. Please read the following legal notices or review current Lake County legal notices here, which describe the status of the rewrite project, including how it relates to a recent proposal by the Lake County Commissioners to repeal the Density Map and Regulations in greater detail.

The Lake County Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. in the large conference room of the Lake County Courthouse on the following item:
Lake County Growth Policy Working Session
The Planning Board will conduct a working session on the draft 2018 Lake County Growth Policy focusing on Chapter 8, Land Use, Development and Local Regulations, and Chapter 9, Implementation. The Board will discuss the Lake County Board of Commissioner’s proposal to repeal the Density Map and Regulations as county zoning, and how to include the Density Map and supportive text as an advisory component of Chapter 8. The Board will also discuss how the Density Map and supportive text may be used to implement goals and objectives of the 2018 Growth Policy.
Information regarding the agenda item is available at the Lake County Planning Dept., room 315 of the Lake County Courthouse. Written comments received by Feb 5, 2018, will be included in the board packets. All written and verbal comments are welcome and will be forwarded to the Board for their consideration.
