KALISPELL — Would you like to spend your summer living on the lake? Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is recruiting volunteer hosts for two popular fishing access sites in northwest Montana. FWP is accepting applications for site host positions this summer at Echo Lake Fishing access site near Bigfork and Paul’s Memorial Fishing Access Site on Lake Five near West Glacier. Hosts will live on-site. FWP provides space for host RVs with water, septic and electricity.
Volunteer hosts are responsible for monitoring these public fishing access sites from approximately May through September. Their duties include cleaning, light groundskeeping, communicating with visitors and opening and closing gates.
“The host position at Paul’s Memorial on Lake Five would be perfect for someone who is interested in exploring Glacier National Park on their off time and Echo Lake would be great for someone with a boat who likes to fish,” said Tony Powell, FWP Region 1 Fishing Access Site Coordinator.
Anyone interested in serving as a site host at either of the lakes should send a cover letter to: tpowell@mt.gov or FWP Region 1 Office, cc: Tony Powell, 490 N. Meridian, Kalispell, MT, 59901. For questions, contact Powell at 406-751-5423.
