It finally feels like spring has arrived in Polson. Don’t forget to turn in your winter reading logs by March 19 to be entered into our prize drawing.

We have a full schedule of programming in March including an adult coloring program at 2 p.m. March 20 and a technology program on internet basics at 2 p.m. on March 27.

The Polson Amateur Astronomy Club in conjunction with the library are hosting a program at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 17 at the library. Sydney Weber, a neuroscientist at Oregon Health and Science University will be presenting remotely on how radiation encountered during space travel affects memory and learning. This family-friendly presentation will be followed by a craft and light refreshments. This program is made possible by our NASA @ My Library Grant.

Our children’s programming continues on Mondays and Thursdays. Join us at 10 a.m. for Mother Goose and at 3:30 p.m. for Makerspace on Mondays, and again at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. for Story Time on Thursdays.

The staff at the library have put together many wonderful displays to recognize special events this month. Stop in and check out our displays for the Academy Awards, Women’s History Month, and St. Patrick’s Day. It is also the time of year to come in and vote in the YALSA (Young Reader’s Choice) awards. Kids from grades 4-12 can vote in three different divisions for their favorite book among the selections. Voting ends April 1.
