News from Providence St. Joseph Medical Center
On Tuesday, March 27 EMS and Trauma Systems of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services designated Providence St. Joseph Medical Center as a Community Trauma Facility. This recognition is the highest given to facilities the size of St. Joseph Medical Center. This three-year designation is awarded for providing optimal care for the trauma victim, preventing unnecessary death and disability and emergency illness and for conducting trauma prevention activities to decrease the incidence of trauma. Since 2007, Providence St. Joseph Medical Center has made a voluntary commitment to belong to the statewide Montana Trauma Care System.
