ARLEE —Spring indeed came to us for a full month of April Fool’s jokes. Beautiful sunshine, lots of rain and snow, fluffy and dark clouds, winds and cold … it all leads to bringing us May flowers, green grass, beautiful sights and smells. This is why we live in Montana. Wait 10 minutes and the weather will change.
The Arlee Seniors has been enjoying a few more at the noon meals, several more at the Saturday dinners, and everyone hoping to win the once-a-month drawing for $50 for eating here. Having a monthly prime rib dinner brings out newcomers and visitors to break bread and visit with us. The next prime rib dinner is April 28 at 6 p.m. We sincerely appreciate our high school youth who come and help serve as well as visit with us all.
Our May prime rib dinner will be on May 12, as our pre-Mother’s Day dinner. Come join us. Call to reserve a meal if you wish, and if you prefer a take out, you must call earlier in the day at 406-726-3213. Our cook, Kelly Burland, puts out a delicious meal. The menu is available at the center and we have great food.
This month on April 21st, join the Lake County Council on Aging for a buffet of prime rib, shrimp scampi and lemon chicken. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. and dinner is at 6 p.m. at the Red Lion in Polson. There will be a silent auction, some entertainment and the enjoyment of sharing with one another for a good cause - supporting the LCCOA. This organization’s experienced employees bring transportation, information, health services, and home healthcare to our homes. Please come support the LCCOA at this first ever fundraiser.
