Melba Baker
LETHBRIDGE, ALBERTA, CANADA — Melba (Wilde) Baker passed away peacefully on April 10, 2018, at St. Thereze Villa, in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada at the age of 96.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Bryan Baker; her first husband, Roy Ackroyd; her four sisters; and a brother.
She is survived by her three sons, Alan (Virginia) Ackroyd, Richard (Valerie) Ackroyd, Stewart (Debra) Ackroyd; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Melba moved to Polson in 1960 and taught elementary school until 1975. At that time she relocated to Warner, Alberta, and taught there until she retired, married Bryan and moved to Lethbridge where she was born and raised. She lived there until her passing. She was a very loving, caring person, and touched the lives of many.
