POLSON — An optimist thinks that this is the best possible world. A pessimist fears that this is true.
And I’m afraid that other than the pinochle, exercise, Tai Chi classes, Mahjong and Friday night bingo, I don’t have a whole lot to write about except to mention and thank all the volunteers who have stepped forward to help us in our mission to supply services to the community.
To all the gardeners out there: If you have the room, you might consider dedicating a row to grow some vegetables for our kitchen. Anything would be appreciated.
The lunch menu:
— Thursday, May 17: hot turkey sandwich
— Friday, May 18: pizza, buttered corn, garden salad
— Monday, May 21: Navy bean and ham soup
— Tuesday, May 22: barbecue pork sandwich, tater tots
— Wednesday, May 23: ham loaf, baked potato
All meals include vegetables and a dessert.
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
