Editor,
Dear citizens of Lake and Sanders Counties and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Reservation, as we approach the Primary Election on June 5, I have little else to say or to write except thank you for your support, your confidence and your trust. My life has been one of service to my country, my people and the law. I am honored to have been elected by you, especially as a hometown kid who never envisioned herself as a lawyer, a politician or an Army Airborne JAG captain. The opportunities I have been given started and returned me to the place I love most … home.
The race is not over, the path is not done, but it has been an amazing ride. For those of you, who have given to my campaign, thank you. For those of you who have linked your name with mine in an endorsement or letter, thank you. For those of you, who have put up a sign for me, thank you. As we go forward, please take down the sign after the campaign but save it, because I will need your support in the General Election in November. Finally and most importantly, thank you for your vote on June 5.
