Yellow Bay Fire Department Finley Point/YellowBay Fire Department will host their annual open house and fundraiser 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 30. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served and everyone is welcome. The Finley Point Fire Hall is located at 35408 MT Hwy. 35 across from the Finley Point Grill. Finely Point/Yellow Bay Fire Department Facts: As First Responders, department personnel respond to calls ranging from vehicle accidents, wildland fires, structure fires, medical emergencies and search and rescue. Finley Point/Yellow Bay Fire is a volunteer department and relies on the public for financial and hands-on support. “As volunteers we train hard for every situation. Whether ice, lake or land, we dedicate the time necessary to gain the skills needed to get the job done safely” said Chief Brent Burland of the Finley Point/Yellow Bay Fire Department. Burland continued, “This is our favorite event and we really enjoy folks stopping by to say hello and offer their support.” Chief Burland is once again reminding everyone to slow down, drive safe and be very careful to prevent wildland fires by putting campfires “cold out.” “This is the busy season. Everyone please be careful. We stay prepared and hope everyone has a safe and happy summer.”
