News from VFW Post 5652

Recent activity of the Local VFW Post 5652 and the Auxiliary includes presentations and congratulations to the following outstanding individuals.

– “Outstanding Teacher” award to Shelia Hoback, first grade teacher at K. William Harvey Elementary

– “Patriot Pen” contest winner Molly Kate Sullivan, Charlo eighth grader

– “Voice of Democracy” contest winner Hunter Petersen, Ronan High School senior. Hunter also received third place at the VFW District 1 level.

This fall the theme for the Patriot Pen contest, which is for 6-8th grade students, is “Why I Honor The American Flag” and the Voice of Democracy contest for high school students theme will be “Why My Vote Matters.” Students, be thinking about how you can enter this fall when you return to school. Have a fun and safe summer.
