Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases from May 18-June 21:

Michael Laramie Corrigan, 21, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was fined $2,000 with $1,400 suspended and charged $85 in court costs. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 days suspended.

Austin Scott Perkins, 18, pleaded not guilty to failing to slow/use caution/move away from a stationary emergency vehicle/police vehicle. He was fined $100 and charged $35 in court costs.

Bill Keith Jones, 81, pleaded guilty to ROW violation, failing to yield to approaching traffic (immediate hazard) when making left turn. He was fined $50 and charged $35 in court costs.

Terry Wharton, 58, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $1,000 with $400 suspended, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended.

Ashley Marie Penix, 35, pleaded not guilty to the charge of driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. She was fined $550 with $300 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended.

John Malcolm Johnson, 69, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $2,000 with $800 suspended, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 365 day in jail with 358 days suspended.

Daniel Lee Roan, 29, pleaded not guilty to careless driving. He was found guilty and fined $50 and charged $35 in court costs.

Romie Allen Ott, 48, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for turning when unsafe to do so.

Kevin Richard Hagedorn, 25, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for careless driving.

John Austin Ross, 27, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for parks pass violation.

William Randell Griswold, 20, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was fined $550 with $300 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 2 days in jail with 2 days suspended.

Sean Eric Gibson, 34, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for failing to have child under 6 years old and less than 60 pounds properly restrained.

Justin J. Stockdill, 37, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 in court costs for fires unlawful.

John Cunningham Schippers, 48, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was fined $550 with $300 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended.

James Andrew Caron, 73, pleaded guilty to improper passing – in no-passing zone. He was fined $50 and charged $35 in court costs.

Amalia Cortez Dunkerson, 75, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for traveling wrong direction – one way street or highway.

Wilburn Willie Melvin, 64, forfeited a $100 bond and $35 in court costs for operating in excess of gross vehicle weight license. Melvin also forfeited a $100 bond and $25 in court costs for exceeding the max gross weight allowed any group of axles (bridge formula).

Jerry Thomas Justus, 80, forfeited a $25 fine and $35 in court costs for violation in a construction zone.

Robert Lee McCutchen Jr., 27, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license – has never possessed. He was fined $200 and charged $35 in court costs.

Douglas Wayne Wray, 44, forfeited a $125 fine and was charged $35 in court costs for exceeding 34,000 pounds tandem axle weight limit.
