POLSON — Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
In spite of the drought and smoke this must have been a good year for gardening because so many people have been generous in sharing their bounties with us. Believe me, it is much appreciated and helps stretch our food budget.
We will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3, in observance of Labor Day.
The menu for the coming week is:
— Thursday, Aug. 30: burger Swiss steak, noodles
— Friday, Aug. 31: stuffed peppers, creamed corn, five-cup salad
— Monday, Sept. 3: closed
— Tuesday, Sept. 4: spaghetti, garlic bread
— Wednesday, Sept. 5: hot turkey sandwich
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Vegetables and a dessert are included with meals.
