Lake County can use a change. Our county is blessed with amazing beauty and resources, however, we do face challenges. We seem to be struggling more than necessary and are not making progress on important issues. Just maybe, our approach needs to change. Unfortunately, one challenge that needs to be addressed to help realize our potential is community fighting. Discounting community input needs to stop, including personal attacks when there is disagreement. We need to promote positive, constructive programs through which we can all benefit. For us to be successful, our county government must serve the entire community. For the good of all of our citizens, we must be open to cultural differences and work through those differences rather than fighting them. Working together we can succeed. Tough problems require innovative solutions and Caroline McDonald with her economic development and community leadership skills offers us a new opportunity and hope to get our citizens working together.
