Editor,
We bumped into Senator Jon Tester in the busy Salt Lake City Airport recently. Obviously in a hurry, he nevertheless spent ten minutes with my husband and me, listening to our concerns and answering our questions. He showed us, two strangers, kindness and respect, qualities that are sorely missing in many politicians today.
We also spoke with Kathleen Williams at a local meet-and-greet gathering. Like Senator Tester, she listened to us with respect and patience. She is an advocate for women, public lands, education, jobs, and protection of Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. She knows our state and understands our economy. She is a hunter and an outdoors enthusiast.
If you are sick of the extreme partisanship and toxic turmoil coming out of Washington D.C., vote for these two candidates. They have the experience, temperament, and the ability and willingness to reach across the aisle to get results in Congress.
