POLSON — In Charles Dickens' kitchen, his spice rack included the best of thymes and the worst of thymes.

The veterans’ representative will be here once again on Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m.-noon.

Also on Oct. 16, Clara will teach her AARP Safe Driving Class from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. with a break for lunch. Adding to Tuesday’s already busy schedule, the Polson Fire Department will be with us on that day to demonstrate fire extinguishers and talk about fire safety.

If you’re reading this edition early, you can still get in to get your toenails trimmed today, Oct. 10, from 9-11 a.m. Sorry that last week’s newsletter somehow fell through the cracks and didn’t make it into the paper.

There’s always room for more Pinochle players on Thursdays. Bingo action continues on Friday evenings at 7 p.m.

At senior bowling, Claudia Barry showed what she’s capable of rolling a 211 high game and eclipsing Cris Alter. Claudia also took the high handicap series, while Cris captured high series. Tim Basta swept high game, series and handicap series. Thatsa-my-boy! We raised him on Dairy Gold milk.
