News from Mission Valley Youth Foundation
POLSON – It’s Festival time! The Festival of Trees that is. This will be the Festival’s 20th year in Polson. Mark your calendar for Saturday, Dec. 1.
This year we are so excited to offer tree viewing for the public on Friday, Nov. 30, at the KwaTuqNuk from 7 to 9 p.m. The fee will be $5 per family with Santa pictures (bring your own camera) and a hot cocoa bar. A special basket will be raffled off just for Friday night viewers.
The Festival generates funds for the Mission Valley Youth Foundation. This allows us the opportunity to serve a greater number of youth-based organizations, programs and charities in the Mission Valley.
The Mission Valley Youth Foundation solicits applications from youth-based programs within the Mission Valley. If you are a youth-based entity and would like to request funding you can pick up an application from one of our board members or submit an email to mvyouthfoundation@gmail.com. Please include your mission statement and a short monetary request.
Mission Valley Youth Foundation would also like the community to reach out to us with suggestions of youth organization that you’d like to see supported. The deadline for submission is Oct. 31.
The Mission Valley Youth Foundation 2017 recipients were as follows: Polson Youth Soccer Association, Mission Valley Mariners, Boys & Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake County, Friends Forever Mentoring, Mission Dribblers, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and CASA of Lake County.
Thank you for your continued support of the Festival of Trees and Mission Valley Youth Foundation.
