Donald Davis
RONAN — Donald Rae Davis (Don), 78, of Ronan, passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 21, 2018. He lived his life his own way, never missing a good drink, smoke or meal. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and cars. He enjoyed his grandchild Michelle, along with his adopted grandchildren, Carl, Brandon, Kendal, Meagan and numerous great-grandchildren.
Donald worked in the logging industry, the plywood plant in Polson and for the City of Ronan until 1981, after which, he became the caretaker of the Ronan Cemetery until he retired to enjoy the finer things in life.
He was preceded in death by his son, Walter; his wife, Geraldine (Gerri); his parents, Penrod (Penny) and June Davis.
Don is survived by his sons, James (Jim) and wife Chris and daughter Michelle of Ronan and Robert of Malta Montana; his sister, Mary Ellen of Lolo; and his brother, Penrod and his wife Rocki and daughter Morgan of Ronan; as well as numerous adopted grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the North Crow Club House at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 26, with a potluck luncheon following. Interment will at 2 p.m. at Ronan Cemetery.
