Decker plays victim, vote for McDonald

In looking at galedecker.com/newsroom web page, I was kind of taken aback. I was shocked to see that Gale Decker was looking to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes for the shortcomings of Lake County. As citizens, we will not always see things eye-to-eye, and we will always have differences. We need a commissioner that will work for all.
Gale also talks about him not having loyalties and allegiances to the tribal government, but he is insinuating that Caroline McDonald does. We need solutions; we don’t need the blame game. May I remind everyone that our Lake County Sheriff is a tribal member and is running for his second term unopposed?
Past actions do tell us a lot. Gale was not hired by the Ronan School District (as a coach) for some remarks that did not sit well with the Ronan school board or its philosophy, as stated in the Valley Journal (8-15-2012). Decker agreed that the board’s decision was not based on his coaching and believes it stemmed from comments and statements he’d made in past public meetings.
Recently, Gale attended an anti-government/anti-tribal meeting in Whitefish, why? Gale Decker has known about Kerr coming off the tax rolls and that it’s going to be a big hit for taxes. Did he plan for this when he became commissioner?
Gale is aware that when CSKT purchases land on the reservation they have the right to choose between keeping the property in fee status (taxable) or going through the process of putting the property into trust. Gale also has admitted CSKT pays a significant amount of property taxes on a number of fee properties in the county while also opting to put many of their purchases into trust.
Gale is playing like he is the victim and wants you to believe you are also. Vote Caroline McDonald.
