Area Bahá’ís elect first-ever reservation Local Spiritual Assembly

News from the Bahá’ís

Bahá’ís are celebrating the election of the first ever Local Spiritual Assembly on the Flathead Indian Reservation. Similar Bahá’í elections occur annually in over 100,000 localities, in virtually every country and territory around the world. They are conducted in an atmosphere of prayer and contemplation where each Bahá’í votes for the nine adults whom they feel demonstrate the qualities that best meet the needs of their community.

These LSAs constitute the bedrock on which the Bahá’í Administrative Order is being built. In addition to addressing the spiritual and administrative needs of our local Bahá’í community, through the integration of service and worship in Bahá’í community life, it is also actively seeking ways and partnerships to foster unity and harmony among all of us living in this beautiful and culturally rich area.

For further information about the Bahá’í Faith please access www.bahai.org or contact us locally at our voicemail: 406-872-2222.

The Baha’i’s will be celebrating the Twin Holy Days on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m. in St. Ignatius at the home of Jeanie and Dale Morrow (312 First Ave. N, St. Ignatius). Directions are available by calling 406-745-4701. We will be showing the movie “The Gate,” which is about the origins of the Baha’i Faith. This will be followed by a meal. Everyone is very welcome to join us.
