Join annual sing-along event in Missoula

News from the Missoula Community Chorus

MISSOULA — The Missoula Community Chorus will present its annual sing-along this year featuring Frosty the Snowman and Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer on Saturday, Nov 17, only, at the Missoula Children’s Theater Center for the Performing Arts, 200 Adams.

For those of you not yet converted, the sing-along experience is an annual community event started by the Missoula Community Chorus six years ago. This year we’re bringing two classic 1960s animated films as a double feature featuring at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., “Frosty the Snowman” followed by “Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer.”

In addition to the film there will be all sorts of Frosty and Rudolf inspired fun happening throughout the day. Costumes are encouraged and we’ll have a small parade before the film starts as well as a “warm-up” to get those vocal chords going. A photo booth with some costumes and props provided will be available in the lobby and concessions will feature special treats for kids and adults alike.

Check out our website at: http://www.singalongmissoula.com for more information and to purchase tickets ($10 in advance, $12 at the door for everyone except those 2 years and younger). Visit us on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/MslaCommunityChorus.

Holiday Treasures Begins

RONAN — Snow is here to help us all get in the spirit. We kick off the holiday season with a perennial favorite of the community - Holiday Treasures. This program has been active for about five decades in Ronan and is here again. First, sign up in a number book at one of the locations: Arnie’s Gas & Tire, Access Montana, Ace Hardware, Ronan True Value, Harvest Foods, Montana Power Products, and Ronan Auto Parts. Then buy goods and services at local participating businesses. Write your number on each ticket and drop them off at a designated drop off location or bring them to the drawing. A small drawing event is scheduled for Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. at the Christmas Bazaar 4-H event. The main drawing takes place after the Parade of Lights on Dec 21. A posting of prizes will take place shortly.
