Darlene Jensen

POLSON — In 1945 Bill and Grace Green gave birth to a baby girl. They loved her so much they named her Darlene, because she was their little darling. In 1955 Darlene dedicated her life to God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Sharing her faith, and the hope from the scriptures, was her greatest joy of all. She was always happiest when sharing in her ministry. In 1964 she married the love of her life, Allen Jensen. A man, she said, that she still had stars in her eyes for 54 years later. Together they had six children, two of whom, she did not get to know for long enough, but whom she trusted were safe in God’s memory. She proudly raised four daughters, whom she loved abundantly. She had four sons-in-law that she called her “boys,” and loved as her own. She was a doting Grandma to nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; they were her favorite “pastime.” Darlene also had great love for her extended family, friends, and brothers and sisters in the faith.

If you came by her home, or her camp, you were sure to be greeted with a hot cup of coffee. Her home was always full of action and a little chaos, with the smell of some delicious food floating through the air. She loved to cook, but more than that, she loved to feed people. She loved nature and Jehovah’s creation. She loved words, written and spoken. She used those things to show love and generosity to those around her. On Nov 18, 2018, she fell asleep in death. She is safe in Jehovah God’s memory and soon will be awakened to life on a beautiful paradise earth.

Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Dec. 2, 2018, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Polson.
