POLSON — Susan was born on Sept. 21, 1950, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Carl and Esther Elardo. She passed away on Nov. 21, 2018. Her loving family, her blue-collar midwest work ethic, and her insatiable appetite for knowledge, provided the foundation for her life’s work as an early childhood educator.
Susan was dedicated to each and every child she had the opportunity to reach. Her family, friends, colleagues, and former students recognize the important role she has played in the lives of countless children.
She raised and educated three children of her own: Nathan, Neil, and Nick. Their father, and the love of her life, Randy Stuber, remains a member of our community. Susan lived with love in her family, hope in her community, and with faith in her God.
Susan found purpose in questioning, because questions require answers, and answers require investigation and education. We will continue to learn from Susan. Her work remains unfinished and we know full and well what she expects from us.
